PASSEM PANTALLA
VISUAL IDENTITY
Passem Pantalla is an event focused on the videogame ecosystem in Catalonia. Created to highlight the sector’s progress and future, it reflects the region’s commitment to digital entertainment and its cultural potential. For its 2025 edition, Gracias Grecia invited THRU to develop the graphic identity.
Our proposal draws from the first Catalan video game, Guillem de Berguedà (1985), a text-based adventure rooted in medieval Catalonia. The identity recovers its spirit, irreverent, satirical, and local, through a visual system that merges past and present. Animated pixel-style illustrations depict Guillem de Berguedà as a cultural icon, while a contemporary typographic layer adds rhythm and clarity to the communication.
This duality becomes the core of the system, expressed across static and motion formats for digital and physical applications, including screens, signage, and event templates.

To bring the visuals to life, we developed a hybrid workflow combining AI generation, procedural animation, and post-production.
The process began with text prompts to generate video fragments related to Guillem de Berguedà’s world, characters, objects, environments. These fragments were processed in Cavalry, where a custom pixelation system translated them into stylized illustrations. This multi-layered pipeline allowed for flexibility and consistency across all motion pieces, combining automation with detailed art direction.
